Laser Hair Removal

We have all been there. Whether we were born with it or it showed up with age, we have all had hair grow in ways or places we swear it simply shouldn’t. Maybe your eyebrows are a little unruly – I know my unibrow is wilder than spring break in Daytona beach! -, maybe you’ve got a patch of hair where there wasn’t any before, maybe you were born a little more hirsute than you would prefer… Whatever the case may be, chances are we have all got a bit of hair we would be happy about if it went the way of the dodo.

Thankfully, technology has come such a long way that we can all take care of that bit of unwanted hair permanently, and all with just a little bit of concentrated light technology known as Laser Hair Removal.  Laser technology truly has changed the way we live, in so many ways we cannot really count and tally without boring you to slumber, but what matters is that we can harness this technology to, among so many other things, get rid of that pesky hair!

Given the ubiquity of laser technology in our daily lives, laser hair removal is relatively low in cost. This does not mean, however, that it is necessarily cheap. The average cost of Laser hair removal in the U.S. is of $235, but this is wildly influenced by factors such as the size of the area being treated, the amount of sessions necessary for absolute hair removal, and the part of the country where the procedure is taking place. Laser hair removal is one of the most common cosmetic procedures done in the U.S., which also helps bring down the cost overall on sheer volume alone.

Highly concentrated light is targeted into the hair follicles, causing them to be destroyed. That is the most basic definition of laser hair removal therapy. Lasers can selectively target the dark, coarse hairs you do not want and leave the surrounding skin virtually untouched.
Each quick pulse takes no more than a fraction of a second, which means the treatment is relatively quick and efficient. Areas such as the upper lip can be treated within less than a minute at a time, while some other larger areas, such as the legs, can take up to an hour given the surface area that must be covered.

General results show patients exhibiting permanent hair loss within three to seven weeks of treatment. The advantage of laser technology makes this treatment the most efficient when it comes to hair removal.

But such efficiency means that it is a serious matter. Laser removal therapy is very much a medical procedure, and therefore requires proper precautions. Six weeks ahead of your procedure, you should avoid waxing and unplucking of undesired hairs, as well as electrolysis, and should be c for six weeks after the procedure.

Making sure that your laser hair removal therapy works is, in great part, up to you. Make sure you use plenty of sunblock in treated areas, avoid direct sunlight for the most part, and keep applying plenty of

Treatment will get rid of the hairs, but it will require some consistency and personal care. Laser therapy is a great and safe way to get rid of those unwanted hairs and get that beautiful look you have always desired.
