Seborrheic Dermatitis

Seborrheic Dermatitis is a common condition that results in a flaky, scaling rash on the scalp, face, and other areas. It is also known as dandruff, which is an uninflamed form of Seborrheic Dermatitis. It is caused by an overgrowth of a naturally occurring yeast on our bodies. It most commonly occurs after puberty, when oil production is increased. Cradle cap is the infantile version of Seborrheic Dermatitis.

Seborrheic Dermatitis can be very itchy and the flakes associated with it can be bothersome. In order to help, we use various treatment strategies to help quickly resolve the condition and to prevent recurrences.
