Sun spots are flat, discrete brown areas called lentigines that usually appear on the face, chest and back, as well as the back of the hands and the top of the feet. Melasma is a pigmentation disorder characterized by the development of irregular dark patches on the face in response to pregnancy, hormones or sun exposure.

Office-based laser treatments can address uneven pigmentation on all of these areas. Applicable treatments include Alex TriVantage laser, Fraxel (re:store dual)™, and chemical peels.

Multiple treatments are typically required in conjunction with a strict sun protection program.
